Begin with a scenic tuk-tuk ride from Dambatenna Tea Factory to St. Catherine's Seat, one of the highest and most beautiful viewpoints in Sri Lanka's tea country. Then follow a mostly descending route towards Haputale.

The route
The experience starts with a tuk-tuk journey to St. Catherine's Seat in the upper divisions of Nayabedda Tea Estate. At around 1,900 metres, the area offers panoramic mountain scenery and far-reaching views across the Dambatenna Valley.
From the plateau, the reverse route descends through plantation communities, tea trails and the organic Green Field Estate. On clear days, hikers can look across the valley towards Lipton's Seat. The trail continues through cool forest paths and quiet mountain landscapes before arriving in Haputale, one of the best-known hill towns in Sri Lanka's tea country.
