Celebrate the final stage of The Pekoe Trail with a memorable high-country hike from Kandapola to Pedro Estate. The route follows beautiful tea-estate tracks through remote villages and open landscapes above 2,000 metres.

The route
The stage begins in Kandapola, a busy high-country town east of Nuwara Eliya, before leaving the village for open tea estates. Sweeping views and cool mountain weather define this final section of the trail.
The route circles historic Courtlodge Tea Factory, established in 1890, and continues through remote plantation communities. Much of the route is open and unshaded, with dramatic changes in mist, sunshine and wind.
The journey finishes at renowned Pedro Tea Estate overlooking the surrounding countryside. Guests may arrange an optional guided tea-factory tour after the hike.
